A few days I installed Visual C++ 2015 successfully on my laptop PC and got it running OK.
Today my tower PC came back form the workshop, and they had reinstalled Windows 10 on it. Luckily I had backups of my software.
I tried to install Visual C++ from vc_redist.x64.exe and from vc_redist.x86.exe on my tower PC, and each ran for about 10 seconds and resulted in no screen icon and nothing found in a search of C:\Program Files (x86)\ and C:\Program Files\ , although I switched my Norton antiviral's firewall off. What may be happening?
